Quality Monitoring of Raw Water Source ::

Bangalore City gets water from 2 surface water sources namely, Arkavathi and Cauvery.  These two sources are monitored regularly. Because of increase in population and the
area of Bangalore City , most of the inhabitants and industries are coming within
the independent catchment of T.G.Halli and Hesarghatta reservoir. Hence there is
an absolute need for quality monitoring for possible pollution of water in these
reservoirs. Similarly, in respect of Cauvery river, quality of raw-water is monitored.

Similarly, within the treatment plants, quality monitoring is done through SCADA.
