Completed Projects

A pilot project area comprising 40,000 connections in Bangalore City covering Service Station of Clive Line Reservoir, Johnson Market, Ulsoor ,High Grounds and Coles mark, is proposed to be implemented on a trial scheme to reduce the
existing leakages and also to bring into Bangalore through project Global experiences covering entire exercise. This would address twin parameters of conserving water and also enhance customer satisfaction (increasing water revenue) in the city.

Koramangala & Chellaghatta Valley

Vrishabhavathy Valley

Koramangala and Challaghatta waste water Treatment Plant
Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has set up a sewage treatment plant to treat the sewage generated in Koramangala and Challaghatta valleys of the Bangalore city at Belur Nagasandra village behind Bangalore Airport. This treatment plant caters to a population of about 13,00,000 (1991 census) over a drainage area of 8858.83 Hectares.
The treatment plant with primary treatment facility for 35 MGD was commissioned during 1974. The upgraded secondary treatment plant was commissioned during 1990.
The K & C valley sewage treatment plant has been designed to treat 163 MLD of sewage. The treatment process adopted is the conventional activated sludge process.
Presently, the treatment plant is receiving an average of 160 ML of sewage per day.  The average BOD and suspended solids in the influent sewage is 250 Mg/1t and 425 Mg/lt respectively. There is an average reduction in BOD of 88% and suspended solids of 80% in the treated effluent.
