Infrastructure Mapping

The scheme is for creating a network information system to obtain information through
a mapping database giving technical components of the network of water supply
and sewerage system for the day to day operation and maintenance and also to provide
a management tool for long term action for unaccounted for water, rehabilitation
and extension of network etc.

This includes mapping through Geographical Information System (GIS) and the entire
data of water and sewerage network has been incorporated in the GIS, and any
solution regarding unaccounted for water, pressure in the system and transfer of
water, etc can be solved with this information system. The project has been completed
at an approximate cost of Rs.10.00 Crores under Indo French Protocol.
