CURRENT PROJECT

Cauvery Water Supply Scheme Stage IV Phase - II to bring in 500 MLD Potable Water :

Cauvery Water Supply Scheme Stage Iv Phase-II has been taken up with Financial Assitance from Japan Bank for Inaternational Co-operation (RS. 2830 crores) at an estimated cost of Rs. 3383.70 crores. Governmaent Of Karnataka has accorded Administrative approval to the scheme vide Go dated 08.06.2005. The schem consists of 13 Water Supply contract and 11 Sewerage Contract Packages apart from Distribution Improvement Component (UFW) and Management Improvement Component.

Prequlification of firms for water supply component is Completed. Tenders are issued for 7 works which raw water transfer, Transmission line from T.K.Halli to bangalore. Tender for supply of MS Plates required for the Transmission Mains is received on 21.08.2008. Technical review of the offers is completed and concurrence of JBIC for finacial bid is awaited.

Regarding sewarage components, prequalification of firms for sewe pipeline rehabililation is completed. Tenders are issued for 5 works, out of this bids are received for 3 works. Repackaging of sewage treatment plants with Intermediate Sewage Pumping Stations is under progress.

Prequalification for distribution improvement component is invalid. Receipt of bids is on 26.09.2008.

The Water Supply Component of the scheme is scheduled forncompletion by 2011-12 and Sewerage Component by 2012-13.

Intergrated Water Management Projects :

a. V.Valley reuse scheme

It is proposed to treat 135 MLD used water by Ultra filtration and blend with T.G.Halli reservior water, after regular treatment water is proposed to be sipplied to City. The estimated cost of the project is RS.473 crores.

Expression of Interest is received from the prospective bidders, the same is under evaluation.

b. Intergrated Water Resource Management Project in Bellandur and Nagavara lake.

Proposal is to utilize lake water at the above places and treat to potable standards by Ultras filtration and Reverse Osmosis. About 90 MLD of water will be available for supply to the city.

Expression of Interest is invited vide notification dated 17.06.2008 from the prospective bidders. Last date for receipt of bids is 31.10.2008.
