The office of the Chief Engineer(Quality Assurance) is functioning in the III floor of
cauvery Bhavan, Bangalore-9, and having the following staff in the central office.

1. Technical Assistant (QA)
2. Technical Assistant (Store)

The Following divisions are under the control of Chief Engineer (QA) and their function
are as follows.

1. Additional chief engineer (QA) Ph No.2945201 and the Executive Engineer(QA)
Ph No.2945201 are situated at Margosa Road,Malleswaram,Bangalore-12,Who are
in charge of quality control of both water supply and sanitary works of all works taken
up by the board in the city of Bangalore with the Assistant Executive Engineer, Who
are also stationed at Malleswaram, Bangalore.

In addition to the above they have the facility of Viz.,

i) Meter Testing and Repair Shop: Which is situated at 18th cross Malleswaram,
Bangalore-12 and is equipped with men and materials for repairing,servicing
and calibration of water meters of various sizes.

ii) Central Water Testing Laboratory : is situated at High grounds, Bangalore where in,
the water collected at different parts of the city,water samples from Borewells and
also water samples from slums, are collected and tested for Turbidity,pH value,
Residual Chlorine, suitability for portable purpose etc.,Mobile Testing Laboratories,
they collecting water samples and conduct test of the samples on the spot.

2. Executive Engineer (Central Stores ) Ph :2945205
The office is situated at Margosa Road, Malleswaram, Bangalore-12 and has
the responsibilities of procurement of all types of materials such as steel
reinforcements, Cement,C.I and D.I. Pipes and
specials, Liquid chlorine,etc required for various activities of the board.

3. Borewell Division Ph: 2945196
The Borewell Division is also functioning at Margosa road,Malleswaram,Bangalore-12.It
has four sub-divisions, with the maintenance of about 5650 existing borewells,
installed with Hand Pumps and submersible pumpsets in the jurisdiction of 100 wards
of Bangalore Mahanagara Palika.
The work of sinking of new borewells on the requisition and desposition of funds
from Bangalore Mahanagara palike as well as requisition from Honorable M.P's and
M.L.A's and from their respective funds recieved through Deputy Commissioner
Bangalore District is with this division.

4. Project Manager (Water Audit and Control):
The (WA&C) Division is located in the 3rd floor, Cauvery Bhavan with two sub divisions
with offices at Anand Rao circle and is carrying out the leak detection and
rectification works in the entire city.The nature of work is more on the
(Unaccounted for water)detection and stress is given in reducing the UFW which is in
the range of 40%-50%.Based on this sample, tests have been carried out taking up
entire entire rehabilitation work. Now major projects covering 40,000 has been
tendered for Rs. 47 Crores and is in the final stage of take off.Further this office has
been attached with new S.W./LAN-WAN and other related time bounded works and are
in the implementation stage.
